  • Now, wrap the one-ft area of the wire around the vacuum’s hose 
  • Then, put on the vacuum cuff on the copper wire 
  • Lastly, just run the remaining wire inside the vacuum hose 

This will ensure that negative charges will have a different path to travel to, and you won’t have to struggle with the static. 

Purchase A High-Quality Hose 

In the majority of cases, the vacuum cleaners are designed with a single plastic hose, which makes it challenging to do the DIY copper wire. However, to protect yourself from the static, you can invest in other hoses, such as;

  • Anti-static hose – these hoses are designed with conductive materials, especially into the hose’s polymers
